Cluster Computing
During my studies and research I have specialized myself on the field of cluster computing.
Clusters are a collection of regular workstations or PCs, connected together with any kind of network.
Cluster Computing uses this collection of resources to solve problems.

Distributed Operating Systems
Closely connected to cluster computing are the distributed Operating Systems.
Distributed Operating systems provide for a cluster a single system image. The whole machine seems to be only one parallel machine with multiple processors.

Tennis:
I used to play tennis a lot. Due to my researches and profession, I haven´t had so much time to focus on a favorite hobby. However every time I play, I enjoy it very much.

Hiking
I especially like weekend trips to the near Alps.

Skiing:
Alpine skiing is one of my favorites.

Inline skating
I started only a year ago, it is currently my most frequent workout.

Travelling
I´m interested in all kinds of travel. I can have fun just enjoying the beaches and the sun, but preferably I want to experience other cultures and see beautiful nature.
